Lim Ee Peng (Professor)

Ee-Peng Lim is currently a tenured professor at the School of Information Systems of the Singapore Management University (SMU). He received Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis in 1994 and B.Sc. in Computer Science from National University of Singapore.
His research interests include information integration, data/text/web mining, and digital libraries.
He is currently an Associate Editor of the ACM Transactions on Information Systems (TOIS), Journal of Web Engineering (JWE), International Journal of Digital Libraries (IJDL) and International Journal of Data Warehousing and Mining (IJDWM). He is a member of the ACM Publications Board. He is the Steering Committee Chair of the International Conference on Asian Digital Libraries (ICADL), and a member of the Steering Committee of the Pacific Asia Conference on Knowledge Discovery and Data Mining (PAKDD).

Narendra S. Chaudhari is with Division of Information Systems, School of Computer Engineering (SCE), Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, as an Associate Professor since Dec. 2001. He has obtained Ph.D., M.Tech. (Computer Science), and B.Tech. in Elec. Engg. (with Distinction) degrees from I.I.T. Bombay (India) in 1988, 1983 and 1981 respectively.
He has been Fellow, Institute of Electronics and Telecom Engineers (IETE), India since 2000, and member of many professional societies. Currently he has an active collaboration with ST Engg. for the development of AI Based war-game framework, and he has been PI of the related project.
His research interests are in the areas of neural networks, rule extraction methods, optimization algorithms, and theoretical computer science. He has successfully guided more than ten Ph.D. students in Computer Science and Engg. He has more than 120 publications and four books to his credit.

Dion Goh obtained his PhD in computer science from Texas A&M University and is currently an Assistant Professor of the Division of Information Studies, School of Communication & Information at Nanyang Technological University.
He is also the Program Director of the School’s Master of Science in Information Systems.
His research expertise includes information retrieval, digital libraries, text mining, use of information technology in education and user interfaces.

Miao Chun Yan received her PhD from School of Computer Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. She is currently an Assistant Professor in the School of Computer Engineering, Nanyang Technological University.
Her research interests include software agent, Multi-agent system (MAS), Agent Oriented Software Engineering (AOSE), Service Oriented Software Engineering (SOSE), agent mediated semantic web/grid, and agent mediated media fusion. She is particularly interested in infusing agent technology into various application domains.
She was involved in large funded research/industry projects in Simon Fraser University Canada, SIMTech Singapore and Singapore Network Services (SNS) in the past. She is currently conducting research projects funded by NGO/SERC/A*STAR Singapore in agent mediated integrated manufacturing service systems, situated/immersive learning and education environments, distributed virtual communities and dynamic bio-service compositions.

Choi Koon Kau, Byron (Asst Prof)

Byron Choi obtained his Ph.D and MSE degrees in Computer and Information Science from the University of Pennsylvania in 2006 and 2002, respectively. He received his Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Engineering from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), in 1999.
Before joining Hong Kong Baptist University, He was an Assistant Professor with School of Computer Engineering / Nanyang Technological University (NTU) for three happy years (2005 - 2008). He was a research associate at University of Edinburgh in 2005 and a summer student intern for the Galax project at AT&T Labs Florham Park. He visited HKUST theoretical computer science group in 2003. He is currently an external member of Center for Advanced Information Systems at NTU. He is a member of ACM and IEEE.
